1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how Gong Karaoke LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use its website, mobile web app, TV interface, subscriptions, credits, and performance features.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect account details (such as name, username, email, and profile photo); authentication identifiers; venue information and promotional uploads; subscription and transaction status; credit balances and purchase history; performance recordings and uploads; song selections, queues, ratings, tips, and session participation; customer-support communications; and device, diagnostic, log, and security information. We may collect cancellation reasons and optional feedback if you submit them.
3. Payments
Payments and payment-method updates are processed by payment providers such as Stripe. Gong Karaoke may receive transaction IDs, customer IDs, subscription status, billing dates, payment status, card brand and last four digits, and related records needed to operate billing. We do not intend to store full payment-card numbers on our application servers.
4. How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, deliver karaoke and hosting features, operate live venue sessions, process credits and subscriptions, route tips and payouts where supported, prevent abuse and fraud, troubleshoot playback, provide customer support, comply with legal obligations, and improve the service. Cancellation feedback may be used to identify service problems and improve plans.
5. When information is visible to others
Your display name, profile image (if supplied), queued songs, performer details, ratings, tips or acknowledgments, and uploaded performances may be visible to venue hosts, attendees, or other users depending on the feature and your settings. Do not submit information or recordings you do not want shared in the applicable live-session context.
6. Service providers and disclosures
We use third-party infrastructure and service providers to deliver authentication, hosting, data storage, video delivery, analytics or diagnostics, and payment processing, which may include Firebase/Google, Bunny, and Stripe. These providers may process information for service delivery and security. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users and the platform, or in a business transaction subject to applicable legal requirements. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
7. Cookies, local storage, and diagnostics
The service may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies for sign-in, sessions, security, preferences, and functionality. Device and usage logs may help detect errors and maintain service reliability. Additional consent or controls will be provided where required by law.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain financial and licensing records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. Account deletion requests may not immediately remove records that must be kept for billing, legal, security, or rights-management reasons.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, including provider-managed authentication and payment processing. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account activity.
10. Your choices and rights
You may review or update certain account details in the app, manage subscription and payment information, and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and verification. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. You may decline optional cancellation feedback.
11. Children and recordings
Users must comply with applicable laws and obtain any necessary consent before recording or uploading another person, especially a minor. Hosts and organizers are responsible for obtaining appropriate participant permissions for events they administer.
12. Geographic processing and changes
Information may be processed in locations where Gong Karaoke and its service providers operate. We may revise this policy as the service changes and will provide notice where legally required.
